We can also provide drawing and filing services for the Department of Building (DOB) for numerous projects, including all types of residential and commercial renovations, storefronts, decks, finished basements, kitchen/bathroom renovations, and more. Our firm has partnered with self-certified licensed architects and engineers as well as filing expeditors in order to provide complete service packages for renovation projects, including site measure and existing condition drawings, design drawings, production of construction plans and filing drawings, building department filing for permit approval, and ultimately final inspection in order to finalize the filing once the construction is complete. About Alteration Type 2 Projects

Here in New York City, Alt 2 projects encompass a variety of specific renovations. Unlike Alteration Type 1 projects, there cannot be a change made to the egress, use, or occupancy number of a building. To put it simply, Alt 2 projects only include either interior or exterior renovations that do not change how the building will be used. Alt 2 projects still require an architect’s approval in order to be submitted to the DOB. Here at Draftermax, we’ll work with you to create the drawings you need, and we’ll use our partnered architects and engineers to gain approval for your project.
